Mark lives in New York, records in Nashville, and hails from the Philadelphia suburbs of South Jersey. No surprise, the debut release “Rain on the Roses” is just as diverse as his background. Yes, Mark’s melodic, edgy, and sometimes dark brand of Americana owes its sound as much to the cobblestone streets of the Northeast as it does the country roads of the south.
Diverse and unpredictable, the undercurrent of every song Mark writes is a hard-hitting melody, and an obvious craftsman’s balance of lyrics and music. Focused on songwriting for much of his career, Mark has had his share of success (his credits include “Steady Now” the haunting love ballad from USA film’s release “Never Again”. Now, with the release of Rain on the Roses, Mark steps out from behind the pen, and takes on new roles as producer and artist. In their August issue, M Music Magazine raved “given its instantly appealing melodies, this impressive debut should help him find his own place in the spotlight”.
No stranger to the stage, in recent years Mark has opened for Lonestar, The Hot Club of Cowtown, Brent Rodgers, and Robyn Dell’Unto, among others.
